Stefan Eins

Stefan Eins came to New York in 1967, having grown up in Vienna. He graduated from the University of Vienna in 1965 for theology and The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1964-1967. He regarded practicing art and science as the same, which led in part to his founding of Fashion Moda.

Stefan pioneered the exhibition of graffiti in a museum setting, which added a lot to the downtown art scene. Fashion Moda also premiered Hip Hop culture in the downtown scene, which incorporated artists, writers, rappers, and dancers into one creative collective.

He has also exhibited his works all around the world. His last show was in 2009 at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
