Fashion Moda

Fashion Moda, a defining cultural feature of the downtown counterculture scene in the 1970's and 80's, was founded by Stefan Eins in 1978. It broke down the cultural preconceptions of art galleries, that only fine, established artists should be shown.

In 1980, Fashion Moda helped host the progressive artists of Colab on "The Times Square Show" and Now Gallery, effectively introducing uptown graffiti to the downtown scene.
